This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you visit the muhammetsafak.com (“Site”) website.

Data collected

This Site is a personal portfolio and blog. It does not aim to collect personal data directly from visitors; it has no membership or registration. The only form on the Site is the question form in the Just Ask section, described under “Question form (Just Ask)” below.

The infrastructure provider that hosts the Site (Cloudflare) may process technical records (server logs) such as IP address and browser information for the security and continuity of the service. These records are subject to the relevant provider’s own policies.

Question form (Just Ask)

If you submit a question through the form in the Just Ask section, the following applies.

What the form collects: your question (required, up to 2,000 characters), your name (optional, up to 80 characters), and your email address (optional, up to 160 characters). The language of the page you used is sent along with them. A hidden field that visitors never see is used to filter out automated spam.
Delivery: the Site’s server-side function forwards the question, name, email address, and page language to me as a message through Telegram. Your IP address is not part of that message. The function does not write the submission to a database or file. Once delivered, the message is subject to the Telegram Privacy Policy.
Bot protection: the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. The page loads a script from challenges.cloudflare.com, and to verify the check, the function sends the Turnstile token and your IP address to Cloudflare. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Publication: I read the questions and answer the suitable ones on the Site. An answered question is published together with the name you entered; if you left the name empty, it appears as anonymous. Your email address is never published; it is there so that I can let you know when your question is answered.

Google Analytics

If you give your explicit consent, the Site uses the Google Analytics service to understand visit statistics. This service processes information such as the pages visited, time spent on the site, approximate location (country/city), and device and browser type in an aggregated and anonymized form.

Analytics data is collected only after you give consent; if you do not consent or withdraw your consent, no analytics data is processed.
The data is processed by Google, a service provider, and may be stored on Google’s servers (abroad).
You can withdraw your consent at any time through the “Cookie Preferences” link in the page footer.

Browser storage

The Site uses your browser’s local storage (localStorage) only to remember your preferred light/dark theme setting and your cookie consent preference. This information is stored only on your device and is never sent to any server.

Third-party content

Some pages may contain third-party content, such as embedded video. This content is subject to the privacy policies of the respective platforms. For video embeds, privacy-preserving (“no-cookie”) versions are used wherever possible.
